Wave 80 has developed groundbreaking technologies for quantifyin g constituents of blood and other generally obtainable body fluids.  These technologies afford unique capabilities for automating complex assays in highly compact systems.

a range of analyte classes and assay techniques

Wave 80’s handheld bioassay instrument architecture supports a wide range of of assays.  The flow-through reaction chambers in every Wave 80 disposable assay cartridge are designed for quantification of proteins, nucleic acids, and cells (e.g. leukocyte subsets). 

military products

Only 2” in diameter by 6” long and fully automated, Wave 80's military bioassay system rapidly determines concentrations of select analytes in ~20 microliter body fluid samples.  Assays take place entirely within single-use (disposable) cartridges.  Electronics and optics in a handheld unit drive the assay sequence and detect the outcome.  Typical assay duration is 10 minutes.
